WorldFest is a Houston based international independent film festival with 59 year of history. Each year, many Asian filmmakers submit their work to compete with films from around the world and the best of the best are screened at the 10 day festival here in Houston in April. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet multiple lenders in scheduled, one-on-one 15 minute sessions. Harris County is conducting a Disparity Study about its utilization of Minority- and Woman-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs). This research project will examine whether all firms have equal access to contracting opportunities on the County’s prime contracts and associated subcontracts and recommend strategies to ensure full and fair competition in County contracting.

The Fort Bend ISD Small Business Enterprise Program (SBEP) invites all businesses interested in working with the district to attend an in-person SBEP Workshop on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The workshop will be held at the James Reese Career & Technical Center. This informative session will provide an overview of how to do business with Fort Bend ISD, including procurement processes, vendor registration, and available opportunities for small businesses. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and connect directly with district representatives.
Power Up with the Harris County Attorney’s Office is an interactive workshop series hosted by the Harris County Attorney’s Office and is designed to connect residents with the Harris County Attorney’s Office. As the County’s Chief Civil Lawyer, the Office serves the community through eleven legal divisions addressing consumer protection, property and tax matters, senior and family support, environmental issues, scam prevention, compliance, and much more.
