During September’s Super Saturday family event, explore the traditions and meaning behind the Mid-Autumn Festival and look forward to a story time, all-ages crafts celebrating Mid-Autumn traditions (including paper lanterns, modeling clay mooncakes, paper rabbit puppets, and more inspired by the Jade Rabbit folktale), and a scavenger hunt through the Center.

Take in vibrant performances, learn about the legend of the moon goddess Chang’e, and enjoy a lively Techno Prince dance that blends traditional and modern elements. The performance will conclude with a theatrical play depicting the mythical origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival, presented by the Houston Hanfu Association.
