Unlocking Capital: How Franchisees Finance Sustainable Growth

This workshop is designed to help franchisees understand how to access the right capital to support expansion and long-term growth. Yon has been supporting business owners and entrepreneurs throughout her 20 + years career in banking. Since joining Bank of America in January of 2016, her primary focus is business banking and commercial lending.  

Currently she serves as an Enterprise Business Development Officer (EBDO) working across multiple states in the central division of the US. She partner closely with the Business Banking Relationship Managers to help franchisee’s access to capital to support expansion and long term growth. She is an active member of the Asian Leadership Network in North Texas. Her passion for business is deeply personal. Her parents owned multiple businesses throughout her childhood. Growing up in entrepreneurship shaped her appreciation for the challenges and rewards of business ownership. She treats her clients and partners as if they are family and that’s is what makes the true difference!

Janean has been supporting business owners and entrepreneurs throughout her 38-year career in banking. Since joining Bank of America in January of 2025, her primary focus is franchise lending.  

Currently she serves as a Regional Business Development Officer (RBDO) working across Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. She helps franchisee’s access capital to support expansion and long-term growth. She is an active member of the International Franchise Association and has almost completed the program to become a Certified Franchise Executive.

I spent over 18 years in the Air Force, first as active duty, and then as a government civilian (civil service), a majority of that time as a Warranted Contracting Officer and Program Manager.

I can leverage my experience with government contracts, and my understanding of how the government thinks about contracts and proposals, to further the relationships with GovCon clients.

My detailed knowledge of the contracting process, and how a Government Contracting Officer thinks and makes decisions can be vital to the GovCon clients, in how they approach responding to RFPs and how they perform their services for the government over the long haul.
