On July 10, 2024, USDOT will be hosting a Wealth Creation Outreach event in collaboration with the City of Houston- Office of Business Opportunity, Houston Airports, Port Houston, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to connect with the greater Houston local and small business communities.

The audience will hear from USDOT leadership and local transportation leaders, and in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, there will be a community conversation with a regional transportation civil rights leader/legend.  USDOT will provide an update on key wealth creation focus areas including the recently modernized DBE/ACDBE Final Rule and USDOT’s Equity Action Plan. The event will provide an opportunity for continued engagement with USDOT as well as public and private industry partners, organizations and advocacy groups.
