Breaking the Barrier Series – Monthly Webinars to Support Business Growth
The Breaking the Barrier: Blueprint to Prime series offers monthly educational webinars aimed at empowering small and historically underutilized businesses. These sessions focus on both business growth and navigating contracting opportunities within Harris County and beyond.

We’re pleased to offer two sessions in May:
Event 2: Breaking the Barrier – Blueprint to Prime: Doing Business with the Big 3
Date: May 15, 2025

Location: Virtual
Details: Learn how to access contract opportunities directly through County departments. Representatives from the Harris County Flood Control District, Toll Road Authority, and Engineering Department will share insights on engaging with their specific procurement processes.

Event 3: Breaking the Barrier – Blueprint to Prime: Capacity Building with Harris Hub (Veterans)
Date: May 21, 2025
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
Location: Virtual
Details: This program targets underserved small businesses, including those owned by women, veterans, and people of color. Businesses completing 30 hours of technical assistance may qualify for a $5,000 grant (pending available funding). Join representatives from BakerRipley and hear from veteran-owned businesses who’ve benefited from the Harris Hub.
