Dr. Yu Sun received her Ph. D in Management Science in 2010 from Donghua University, Shanghai, China. She received her M.A. in Mathematical Statistics and Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in 2012. Dr. Sun served as an assistant professor in the Quantitative Business Analysis Department at Siena College, Albany, NY, before she joined the Department of Leadership Studies, Our Lady of the Lake University in 2013. She is now a tenured associate professor and the graduate program director of Leadership Studies of the Houston campus.

She has chaired and graduated 21 doctoral students and served over 60 dissertation committees in leadership studies. Her research interests include leadership studies, emotional intelligence, leadership assessment, decision-making, business statistics, operations management, business analysis. Dr. Sun has published 2 book chapters in business management and leadership, and energy resource management. She published more than 30 journal articles and was invited to present research on more than 50 international conference in the fields of business analytics, management and leadership. She serves as editorial board member for 4 peer reviewed open journals such as Journal of Management Science and Business Intelligence, American Journal of Advanced Research etc. Dr. Sun was invited as a panelist for the World Affairs Council- San Antonio.
