Join AAPI Texans in Building Power March 9

The Texas AAPI Advocacy Collective (TAAC) is a coalition of Asian American Pacific Islanders (AAPI) serving organizations across all corners of Texas, dedicated to seeking the full agency of all AAPI Texans. It’s time for us to build our power on March 9.
The Texas Legislative Session only meets once every two years to decide the laws that will have significant impact on our AAPI community. AAPIs are the fastest growing racial group in Texas, making up more than 1.9 million people who experience unique daily challenges in language accessibility, inadequate representation in school curricula, and barriers to civic participation. It’s critical that we join together now to make our presence at the Capitol known and amplify our collective voice.
We’ll have buses available in Houston and Dallas to provide transportation to and from the Capitol, but sign up fast because it’ll be first come first serve! We will be visiting offices and letting them know our policy priorities this legislative session (no experience needed– we will be meeting our legislators in teams)!

We have the opportunity to make an impact on the laws that will affect our lives. Join our collective March 9 to show our legislators we care, we will mobilize, and we will advocate!
