community at regular meetings, seminars, and presentations. - To provide networking opportunities through regular activities such as
meetings, seminars and luncheons. Receptions are held for leaders of
government, business, and the community. The Chamber participates in trade
shows and trade missions. A membership directory is provided to all
members. - To develop business leads for members. The Chamber receives information and
notices which it disseminates to its members. The Chamber thus helps
individuals and companies in Houston and in Asia seeking or offering trade
opportunities.
Who are the members of the Chamber?
The membership of the Chamber consists of both individuals and companies from many different sectors (Asian and non-Asian) who are involved or interested in doing business with Houston's Asian-American communities or trade between Houston and Asian countries, as well as those who service such trade. The chamber also counts among its members representatives of local and federal government bodies as well as of consulates and other representative offices of Asian countries. By joining and supporting the ACC, you are immediately connected to business opportunities.
Can members deduct dues paid to the Chamber?
Dues paid to the Chamber may not be deducted as charitable contributions on the member's federal income tax return. However, the dues may be deductible as trade or business expenses if they are ordinary and necessary in the conduct of the members business.
